When my high school wrestling coach saw this he changed my name from
Kandy to Cover Boy. Notice the nice equipment.

I worked for awhile as a barback in a jazz club called Casablanca in
the La Fonda Hotel building in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Someone practiced
photography on us. Need I say I felt good right then?

I designed and made the pants. The vest I made using another one as a
pattern. Yes, one wheel is all that I need - even to go up and down
stairs. Part of a University of New Mexico, Laguna Hall dorm room
served as a background. Back in the days at University of California
at Davis, when I dressed in similar fassion all the time, one of my
Chemical Engineering classmates asked me what country I was from. And I
don't think he wondered because of my barely noticable Michigan accent
acquired from my parents.

A newspaper reporter took this photo in Windsor, Ontario, Canada near the
end of my four month, 7200 mile trip through 26 states and Ontario. Just
as it looks, the wheels never come very close to occupying the same plane
or even parallel planes. What do you expect for a two week long project
in a garage? I can't tell by the ride, though. Estimated maximum GVW:
260lb. Sometimes it seemed like flying a magic carpet.
